Before The SLIM IDENTITY™ was born

Issue 004
It’s my birthday week.
And every year around this time, I find myself reflecting — not just on age, but on evolution.
Before I ever coached women on weight release…
Before The SLIM IDENTITY was born™…
Before food freedom became my life’s work…
I was a costumer and stylist assistant in the commercial and music video space..
Fresh out of college, fashion and style called to me, not acting (the degree I earned). In working in costuming, I fell in love with the creative process. Learning the art of how fabric falls on a body. Learning how silhouettes shift posture. Learning how what we wear can change how we move, speak, and take up space. It’s an IDENTITY shift.
Then I followed my dream of opening up a boutique, one that I co-owned with my sister for eight years. I ran it. Built it. Breathed it.
Style has never been surface for me.
It has always been identity.
And this year, as I celebrate another trip around the sun, my monumental last year of my fourties,I’m seeing something so clearly:
The women who release weight for good don’t just change their food.
They change their self-concept.
They start dressing like the woman they are becoming — not the woman they’re apologizing for.
They choose pieces that keep them conscious.
They play.
They experiment.
They express.
They let their body be seen even before it’s “finished.”
Style creates alignment.
And alignment makes weight loss inevitable — not forced.
When you dress in a way that feels beautiful to you…
When your clothing reminds you of who you are…
When you see yourself as art instead of a problem to fix…
You make different choices.
Not from pressure.
Not from punishment.
But from embodiment.
Stay tuned for next week’s podcast, where I release an episode called “Style Is a Weight Loss Strategy.”
It’s personal.
It’s strategic.
And it’s an invitation to approach weight release creatively — not restrictively.
Because what if this gets to be the last time?
What if weight loss becomes an act of expression instead of control?
Most women have accumulated a significant amount of knowledge of ‘how to lose’ weight, but not how to keep it off. You’re intelligent. Capable and wildly talented. And, you want to leave a lasting impression that doesn’t make weight loss and food your identity. To release it in a way that feels sophisticated, sovereign, and sustainable…
Now is your time. Book a consult.
Let’s talk about the woman you’re becoming, and build from there.
And I would love to celebrate that with you.
With gratitude for every version of me that brought us here.
